Club Information

Players are generally expected to play in their correct age group. Exceptions may be made in rare circumstances where it does not disadvantage the club or pose a health and safety risk.

A player may be selected for an older age group by selectors if:

• It is necessary due to registered player numbers.
• The player’s ability matches that of the higher age group.

This will only occur after discussion and agreement with the player and their parent/guardian.

Players wishing to play in a higher age group must submit a written request, with a valid reason, to the Executive Committee before grading begins. Decisions will be based on fairness, integrity, and the following considerations:

• The move does not disadvantage the club, teams, or other players.
• The higher age group can accommodate the player.
• The correct age group has enough players to form balanced teams.

Team Announcements

Players will be notified of team allocations via email, and we will aim to make all team announcements as concurrently as possible. Allocated coaches will then contact teams to introduce themselves and communicate expectations of players, parents and managers throughout the season.

Appeals

If a player is not happy with the decision of the selectors, based on their playing skills, they may request a review of the selection decision. The request must be in writing and sent to royalsnetballclub@gmail.com . The Executive Committee will investigate and respond to all requests.

Selectors must not be contacted directly in relation to grading.
